Sackville Building, Manchester

This was one of my favourite rooftops of Manchester.

Visited with Appo and Rookie.

Visited this site after enquiring the information from a reliable source... After 25 minutes of gong up and down in the worst lifts we hit it - F*cking Yo-Yo's.

20 minutes past and pictures taken we had to make a swift exit as some shouted from one of the windows we had to sneak past only to find ourselves lost but we soon found our exit and we were on our way.

Sackville Street Building was once occupied by UMIST and was UMIST’s main building but in 2004 it merged with Manchester University. Construction on the building started in the early days of 1984 on a site that was owned by Sir Joseph Whitworth's engineering works and in 1902 it was finally opened...

Was chilled this explore even when someone spotted us,  Made all the better by Rookie doing some mad walk.

Decent Weather, Rooftops and Two of your Mates = Win...

Quadrangle Rooftop, Manchester

Visited with Appo...

The Quadrangle was completed in 2006 and the overall cost of the development was close to £50 Million. On most of the developemts lower floors are bars and restaraunts will the rest being apartments.

After some wandering around it seemed like wasted time until we found a roof exit;

Me and Appo didnt like a few residents spotting us so we headed down after a couple of minutes.

Short but sweet...

The Peninsula, Manchester

Visited with Rookie...

The Peninsula is based over 20 floors with office space covering 23,774.00 Square Ft. which was supposed to be completed by 2009 but didnt look to decent inside.

With a total height of just under 109 Ft. the rooftop provided brilliant views.

We came across this looking for other spots to hit up, After some clever thinking we were in...

Shortly after this last picture in the toilets our luck changed...

We entered this large office room, The lights came on from a sensor and a security guard got up from where he had been sitting around a corner.

'What are you doing?'

Taking pictures said Rookie, We just carried on taking shots while he watched us. Whispered to Rookie that we should be leaving and set for the door.
I was taking that while he was watching us...

We headed over to the guard and walked to the lifts, Made general chat asking about if he got bored sat up there in the dark and does the lift work cause we had to walk up 20 flights of stairs.

Once in the lift Rookie lied and explained that we were architecture students and had spoken to a site manager about taking the pictures.

Next thing he said shocked us slightly - 'I will take you to the site manager he is on the second floor'

We ended up at the site managers door with Rookie explaining that he had both emailed and rang about our 'Visit', The guy said he knew nothing about it but we said we were leaving now so it would be fine.

The guard then showed us out through a rear exit with Rookie talking about how he had 'Lost his bearings' and couldnt tell where he was.

The guard opened the gate and we walked free, Happy days...

That was a close encounter, Big up Rookie for his first class blagging skillz

No.1 Deansgate, Manchester

Hit up this place on my own and it was pretty chilled,
Wasnt going to leave my flat originally but fancied a wander.

Outer from this Winter.

Sometimes the best explores are when you are on your own...

Paramount/Odeon Cinema, Manchester

Visited with Rookie and Appo.

Built in 1930 to the designs of architects Frank T. Verity & Samuel Beverley for Paramount Theatres. In 1939 the Paramount circuit was obtained by Odeon. It was twinned in 1973, triplexed in 1979 with a further four screens created in 1992.

The cinema was closed in September 2004 due to competition from the AMC Great Northern 16, which had opened nearby in December 2001. I could have spent  hours in this place, It was a treasure chest...

Oh and the electricity was turned on, Winner...
